Colin Hawkins

Glass

​Colin trained in Glass at Sunderland University and the Royal College of Art in London. 

​

He gained much of his understanding of the medium of glass early on in his career whilst working alongside some of Britain’s best traditional and contemporary glassmaking artisans.

At his glass-blowing studio, The New Brewery Arts Centre in the Cotswolds, visitors are welcome to watch as the glass pieces are made. Colin combines traditional glassblowing techniques alongside contemporary craft skills to develop his work. 

Colin has worked on many commissions and one-off exhibition pieces which are held in both public and private collections worldwide, as well as selling studio ranges both on location and in selected galleries.
